Every great model has that first photoshoot—the moment when curiosity meets confidence. This session with Rylee Schneider was just that: a test shoot to see if she might enjoy being in front of the camera.
We set up at a local state park, right along the edge of the parking lot where the trees framed the light just right. The afternoon sun gave a warm backlight, creating that perfect natural hair light while I balanced the light on her face for a soft, flattering look. It’s a simple setup, but it proves you don’t need an elaborate location when the light—and the subject—come together naturally.
